Architecture + Interior Design + Lighting + Furnishings + Millwork

A retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city that could accommodate occasional trips to New York was the aspiration of this couple with adult children. Ageloff & Associates refreshed their 1960’s, nondescript, two-bedroom home with a mixture of minor but impactful floorplan adjustments and an elevated materials palate, adhering to a budget and an aggressive timeline. The kitchen was opened to the living space to accommodate a new breakfast bar and expand both areas. The elegant teak kitchen finishes extend to the entry gallery and living room, connecting each room to the other for a spacious feel. Ageloff & Associates created lean, modern lines through concealed storage closets and fully integrated kitchen appliances that are hidden until used. An L-shaped sofa provides ample seating in the living area for gathering friends and family and a cozy haven after a busy day in the city. Serviceable materials, updated bathrooms with new finishes and fittings, and enhanced lighting make this an easily maintained and comfortable get-away for the whole family.
